August 23, 2009 Dear Patriot, Congratulations! You are a nominee for one of three delegate positions from your state for Continental Congress 2009, a national assembly of The People focused on stopping violations of the Constitution and restoring Constitutional obedience in America. We The People Foundation for Constitutional Education is grateful for your public stand in the defense of Liberty during this critical time in our country. We join with you in the knowing that now is the time to take action! If you have not already done so, please visit www.cc2009.us and www.givemeliberty.org to become familiar with all that is taking place and what is proposed. Location and dates for this non-political, non-partisan historical event are confirmed for November 8-22 at the Pheasant Run conference center in Saint Charles, Illinois. This is not a Constitutional Convention. We want to defend the current Constitution that we have, not amend It. We are writing today to bring to your attention to several issues: Nominee entry content Please review constitutional scholar and attorney Dr. Edwin Vieira's "carefully and clearly defined standards" letter to Bob Schulz which has come to be regarded, among other things, as the guidelines defining the nature and qualifications for CC2009 Delegates and their procedings. After considering this, we would ask you to please review your Delegate nominee information now posted on your state’s page. These are the words and images the public will use in their evaluation of you as a potential representative in helping secure their interest in restoring Liberty for all of us. Please review your information to ensure it presents the best description of your qualifications. Robust, well crafted language and message content describing both your personal qualifications and personal commitment to Liberty will do much to secure the votes needed to become a CC2009 Delegate. What is your message to The People? Self-Nominated? How to Make Changes Log in to the nomination system and make the needed changes. Here’s the link: Nominated by Someone Else? How to Make Changes Again, if you need assistance for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact any one of the following individuals:
Please be sure to upload your photo! We suggest head and shoulder images only. Delegate nominations will be accepted through midnight September 8, 2009. Election Day is October 10, 2009. It is our hope to raise the funds necessary to completely cover all lodging and food expenses at Pheasant Run. We are doing everything we can to keep the costs to a minimum for all. Our ability in this regard depends on the financial support we receive between now and November 8, 2009. If elected, you should be prepared to pay your way to and from Pheasant Run.
