On Monday August 10, 2009 the location and dates for Continental Congress 2009 were confirmed with the signing of the contract for accommodations, meals and meeting spaces for November 8 - 22, 2009 at Pheasant Run Spa & Resort Conference Center in St. Charles, IL.

“It is such an honor that Pheasant Run has been selected to host the Continental Congress ‘09 Worldwide Broadcast this upcoming November. We feel our exceptional combination of being centrally located in the charming Chicago suburb of St. Charles, Illinois together with our award-winning conference and meeting space will be a valuable asset in making the 2009 Continental Congress a success.” -- Diane Rosenthal, General Manager of Pheasant Run Resort

(l to r) Gene Hare - Director of Sales, Diane Rosenthal – General Manager, Marty Durkin – Sales Manager, Bob Schulz, Chair WTP

The meeting space includes a 320 seat, hi-tech amphitheater where the CC 2009 delegates will gather for presentations by renowned experts on the history, meaning, effect and significance of specific provisions of the Constitution and factual accounts of existing violations of those provisions.

The CC2009 meeting space also includes a large meeting hall where the delegates will meet for their deliberations, discussions, debates and decisions regarding their recommendations for the free people of America.  Finally, a 3,500 seat arena is available for the closing ceremony.

Access to the worldwide web will include 2 MBS upload capability for our live Internet broadcast of the entire CC2009 proceedings. To further insure against disruptions to either the proceedings or the live webcast, Pheasant Run is equipped with 100% backup emergency generators, providing uninterruptible electric power.

Superb sleeping rooms will be provided for the CC 2009 delegates, staff, and “faculty” (constitutional scholars/presenters). Additional rooms are being made available for members of the public, state legislators and media outlets who would be interested in attending CC 2009, not as participants, but as observers to the historic event.

(It won't look like this in November in Chicago land that is for sure!)

CC2009 Held at a Resort?

While considering my involvement with WTP.ORG, I have to wonder why the first CC meeting is being held at such a lavish Resort & Spa.
In the midst of a campaign to raise $2 million, it just seems their could be a less expensive alternative for WTP.ORG, as well as the delegates that will be attending.
I await your response!

We visited and negotiated with Colonial Williamsburg, the Constitution Center in Philadelphia, the Valley Forge Conference Center, Olympia Conference Center in Wisconsin, the Queensbury Hotel , Fort William Henry in Lake George NY, the Ramada Inn and Conference Center in Denver, and a few others. We negotiated very attractive rates at Pheasant Run. In addition, we needed their 2 mbs upload capability and 100% back up power generation. In addition, their  combination of the 340 seat hi-tech ampitheater for the presentations by the constitutional scholars and the large rooms for the delegates’ deliberations, discussions and debates fit our needs very nicely. Chicago is a transportation hub, which was attractive as well.
I could go on, but believe me, we investigated many alternatives after we put out a call for recommendations.

Mr. Schultz (sic),
Thank you for your response. It seems due diligence was done, and the final decision was based on sound economics.

NCEL Goes to Trial!

Did You Know?!
In addition to spearheading the CC2009, Bob Schulz and We The People Foundation are simultaneously litigating the first federal lawsuit ever to be approved for trial directly challenging the constitutional integrity of a state’s official election procedures which are totally dependent, almost without exception, upon machine-based vote counting?

It's the National Clean Election Lawsuit, aka NCEL, and the outcome of this effort can have as much impact on restoring our Republic as anything else going on in America!
National Clean Election Lawsuit Goes to Trial!

It all began in August of 2007 at the Iowa Straw Poll. The Ron Paul rEVOLution was fired up and nationwide watchdogs emerged to make sure the votes for Dr. Paul were not being stolen. We The People Foundation and Bob Schulz stepped up and filed federal lawsuits in New York on behalf of Plaintiffs in all 50 states.  In May of 2009 the US District Court in Albany, NY removed all the non-New York defendants, but ordered the remaining parties to commence preparations for a jury trial.
The WTP complaint requests the Court impose not only a total ban all vote counting machines (mechanical and electronic) but to impose on state election officials a detailed manual vote counting and certification procedure based solely on the use of plain paper ballots, hand-marked, stored, counted and certified at each precinct level polling location, in full view of the public, at all times.

This is HUGE for the Freedom and Liberty movement in America. And while this case is only being heard in New York state now, the template has been established for all the others states thanks to the hard work of everyone back in 2007.
